Curry for Change helps to change the lives of families in Asia and Africa who suffer from hunger.
Curry for Change is run by UK charity Find Your Feet and helps to change the lives of families in Asia and Africa who suffer from hunger. You can get involved from June to December by dining out at participating restaurants who are offering special dishes and a chance to donate with the bill, or you can cook a curry and dine in by hosting your own curry evening.
The Cinnamon Club, Cinnamon Kitchen & Cinnamon Soho will all be supporting this year’s campaign with a special Curry For Change sponsored dish which will be available on each of the restaurants menus throughout the month of June! Choose one of these specially created dishes and we will donate £1 towards the campaign – and that’s not all as every penny raised will be matched by the campaign partner, Natco Foods, the UK’s leading producer of spices, herbs and pulses. Which means your support will make double the difference to the lives of families suffering from hunger.
Curry For Change dishes:
The Cinnamon Club – Smoked Herdwick lamb escalope and galouti kebab mille feuille
Cinnamon Kitchen – Roast sea bream filled with tomato and kokum, fenugreek salad
Cinnamon Soho – Chicken korma: Tandoori chicken breast, cashew korma, kadhai veggies
You can get involved from June to December by cooking a curry at home and hosting your own curry evening. Sign up at www.curryforchange.org.uk and you’ll receive an event pack, free packet of Natco spices, recipes and everything you need for a dinner that makes a difference. Invite your guests round for fantastic food asking them to donate what they would usually spend on a takeaway to help fight hunger.
Find Your Feet supports vulnerable rural families in India, Nepal, Malawi and Zimbabwe to grow enough food so they don’t go hungry, strengthen their voices so they can speak out against injustice and earn enough money so they can find their feet.
